Just turn the oven down to 5 and set it for another hour?

Muttering in the kitchen….

OK done it..

Beep beep beep…

Why is the alarm beeping? It shouldnt happen for an hour?

Well I set it. Let me come and look..

You always tell me what to do. But you need to listen.

The cooker has two alarms, so I presumed he had set the top oven alarm. I also could see 1:08 on it but this seemed to be indicating the time?

I reset that to 22:00 and set the alarm (I thought) foe an hour. But what confused me was the time had a bell on it. An alarm. I tried changing the time, it would only go up to 23:59?

What? Set everything to zero, I did that and the cooker switched itself off! There is a timer that Starts and Finishes while you are away from the cooker… I’m learning!

Eventually I got it sorted

I know why he struggled. We both need more practice at setting timers. I hope the food cooks OK

Some of my icons on my phone are a horrible browny bronze. I wish I could find out how to change them. I’ve looked at themes and I can change the background but not the icons. I’d like to set my own but I have no idea how. Does anyone know how to change the settings? Is it simple or very complicated. Meh, it’s a first world problem! Ignore me.

It’s funny how you can be so attached to your phone that it makes such an impact your life!

Five hours!

My brain hurts! It’s taken over 5 hours and I’ve got a lot of my apps working on this new phone but I can’t get my emails back. It’s driving me bonkers (mad). I will keep trying, or go back to the phone shop on Monday. Luckily I’ve got it to work on my old PC.

This phone has double the memory of the old one and a better camera, but it cost only 20% of the price of my old one.

Now I need to keep concentrating on things and stop moaning about it!

My phone died!

Every single app has disappeared! I’ve got the mammoth task of uploading everything I use. But I’m not used to this phone. I’m all over the place. I keep closing the screen instead of hitting the space bar. My PC needs syncing to everything on the phone. Goodness knows how I’m doing this. I have the landlines phone here as well. The chap in the shop said he’d sorted my email out, but it’s not linking to the server.

Mind you I feel sorry for him! As he tried to download all my contacts and images the phone superheated and burnt him! I’m very lucky to have anything to transfer! The battery was down to 17% when he got the phone and 1% when he finished!

So if there is a hiatus in my posts, please forgive me. X

Press the button? Or not!

Hubby was being keen about helping with the house as I’m not feeling very well. This discussion happened when I asked him to put the washing machine on spin….

Set the dial to Spin and drain, number 15.

He did it fine.

Now press the on button.

I was watching from the living room and saw and heard the musical notes it plays when it’s switched on. Now press the start button….. Musical notes indicating he’d switched the washing machine off..

No, press the on switch again, then press the start button, it’s on this side of the dial…

He switched it on again, then pressed the little screen that shows you what program the machine is on… So I shouted, not that one, the button..

He switched the machine off again! No don’t do that! By then I was getting frustrated, but after forty years together he should be able to switch a Washing machine on.

Leave it switched on then press the button on this side of the dial!

Exasperated, I watched as he switched it on and went to move the dial…. This side I called… He went to press another button that allows you to change spin speeds or the temperature. NO! NOT THAT ONE! I really shouted this time. The one on this side of the dial BELOW the one you are pressing….

Clunk, whirrr…. SPIN!

Deleting old photos.

Every so often I delete old photos off my phone. Then all the photos that are left get mixed up and I discover old photos like this one that I really like! Basically I do this because the photos are taking up most of the phones memory. I have thousands of pictures. Today I got rid of a couple of hundred old pictures of grey skies and trees. And I also got rid of duplicate images because when I post to Instagram it saves an extra picture.

Another issue is that my phone camera takes Megabyte, not kilobyte sized pictures. It means that when I save them to WordPress the media files take up a lot if space. I’m on about 78% on my plan, and I expanded that earlier in the year. So, how do i reduce my file sizes without losing image quality? The answer is I let my anti virus software review the pictures and replace them with smaller versions. It doesn’t stop my phone taking large files though and I would like to find out how to do this. Must be in settings somewhere….
