When I tried to make a “time flies” dragonfly fridge magnet. Made out of air drying clay. I painted it in bright colours. The hole was for a watch to tell thr time. Made about three years ago. I added magnets on the back. It eventually fell off and broke.
#bandofsketchers prompt was fly. I had to ask for a pallette on Saturday at the Orme Art Group because I’d forgotten mine. I splodge some paint on it, but had some left at the end of the day. I doodled wings and legs on it because the splodges looked like insects.. So I’m calling this “flies”!
A couple of splodges of black ink on a post it note inspired this fly doodle. Just waiting for my PC to sort itself out, I haven’t switched it on for a while and it’s playing up… So a fly in the ointment?.. Maybe
Sky outside my door
High flying clouds
Dapple the air.
Blue as a sailors coat
White like foam on the sea.
The tides of air
Stir the skies ocean.
Liquid, fluid, rapid, vapours.
Witches brew
Or Wizards cauldron.
Dust motes,
Sun dogs
Fogs
Sky…..

A resting bee
happy to have a seat
luckily I didn’t sit
on it!
Beautiful bee then flew off
onto a bush
of flowers to sip
nectar and dew
and pollen too…
