Found my stylus, I can draw better than with finger painting. Artrage app I did the initial drawing then realised a bit looked like a mouth… I’m amazed how it improves the control over the image production.

Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was one I chose, equator. Why? I don’t know. Digital drawing of an Earth like planet with a red equatorial line drawn on it. In my imagination this is a planet encircling city. The only place warm enough for the alien life is the hottest part of the planet on its equator. Used Artrage app to draw this.

Tuesdays #bandofsketchers prompt was secluded. A secluded spot? I’m imagining a river valley with a rocky escarpment on one side. Trees surround green fields on the other. Digital finger painting using my Artrage app. The view seems to be from on a hill overlooking the valley. Entirely imagined.

Sundays #bandofsketchers prompt was tradition. Trying to draw a traditional landscape by fingerprinting in the Artrage app on my phone. I don’t think it’s entirely successful but it’s all I could think of doing for this prompt.

Digital drawing for #bandofsketchers prompt. I thought Mow Cop with it’s ‘nooks and crannies’ would do. Still working digitally because I don’t have a spare sketchbook and I still can’t get out the house. This is in Artrage and I did a digital finger painting. Swapping between the drawing and a Wikipedia photo so it’s not accurate. I liked the metallic effects.

Happy bottle oven day! 29.8.23. It’s celebrated every year. I think there are only 47 bottle ovens left from the thousands that used to be in Stoke on Trent. A lot of them are deteriorating but hopefully the heritage of them will be preserved. The potteries, with their bottle ovens were the creative heart of the city.

Sundays #bandofsketchers prompt was costume. Here’s Jacob’s coat of many colours sketch using the Artrage app, I just used the oil paint tool. Then I edited it in sketchbook and added the toggles and background etc…

I’m catching up with #bandofsketchers prompts again. This one was balloon. I looked up balloon sculptures and found an image of a stainless steel balloon dog titled “ArtZ® Stainless Steel Balloon Dog Sculpture”, so I decided to try and draw it digitally using the Artrage app on my phone. I think the metallic pens give it an interesting sheen. X

A difficult #bandofsketchers prompt, Spread. A digital finger painting of cheese spread being put on toast wirh a knife. Used a lot of different texture tools in my Artrage app to give it a bit of a 3d feeling.

Drawing and doodling, I had fun dig this, just playing with layers in my Artrage app. The Green eyes give her a spooky look. I imagine this woman as some mythological person. Perhaps Cassandra who Wikipedia states:
Cassandra or Kassandra in Greek mythology was a Trojan priestess dedicated to the god Apollo and fated by him to utter true prophecies but never to be believed. In modern usage her name is employed as a rhetorical device to indicate a person whose accurate prophecies, generally of impending disaster, are not believed. Wikipedia
I was interested in Greek and Roman mythology when I was a child. I think I read about Cassandra then.
