No sooner had the big cat got out of the box then the small cat got in! Middle cat slept in it last night, I didn’t think to take a photo of him in the darkness.
Cats and boxes are such a good fit! No pun intended. I think they like them to keep away draughts!
Oops, now it’s empty, the cat got bored! With boxes “one size fits all cats”.
You can take a cat to a box but you can’t make it lie in one. I tickled his tummy risking my fingers, (his claws come out if you are not gentle). The paradox of cats, no wonder Shrodinger chose them as an example. Maybe that’s why he doesn’t want to be in the box?
One of the other cats takes up half the space I want to sleep in, he is double the size of this one so he’s difficult to shift when he’s asleep. He can’t even fit in the box I think.
These two are getting much more tolerant of each other. They don’t follow each other around, I think the smaller of the two is a few years older, so he sleeps more. But they tend to eat together, and now they are sleeping in the same place. They looked so comfortable that I didn’t move them, I slept sitting upright on the settee until they both got off and went outside.
Morning all, I just woke up and my cat decided to say hello. He puts his paw out to greet me and I stroke it, he is very sweet, it’s almost turned into a ritual as I’m still sleeping on the settee which I think he sees as his territory. I might go back to sleep, I woke up cold and shivering in the night, the temperature is definitely becoming autumnal.
Where do I sleep? I still can’t get upstairs. I guess I move the cats or sleep upright at the other end of the settee! I’m a big softy and I don’t like pushing them about. They have never slept together before. Their sister is upstairs but will probably sleep on the cat tree. Goodnight
I made myself a footstool out of a strong cardboard box, a pillow and a cat banket for softness. I’ve had my feet up on it for weeks, so the cats haven’t had the opportunity to use it. But I just went to get a drink and came back to find my little cat kneading it, (making biscuits/poddling). She’s now settled down to sleep! Cheeky!
Actually the wound is healing well. Still got to keep it elevated. Plus I’m getting better at walking again. My problem is I’m putting stress on my shoulder and arms pushing myself up and down, and it’s making me tired and grouchy. Four hours sleep last night…
When you have to lift your legs up to reduce swelling it is tiring as it catches your thigh and calf muscles, but I’m treating that like chair yoga and doing bends and stretches to try and improve my flexibility.
Now if I can just get over the cough and sore throat I seem to be developing…. Heaven knows I’ve had enough of this now.
Just woke up and found my cat lying on my chest! I am sleeping on the sofa as I can’t get upstairs with my injured leg.
He’s a friendly cat, but usually he is happy to lie down next to me on the chair arm. But tonight? I guess I’m the warm spot on a cold night. Seconds before I grabbed my phone to take this shot he had his head down, fast asleep and snoring.
Unfortunately for him I had to shift him as I was literally pinned down by his weight. He is now curled up snoozing at the other end of the settee and I’m sitting up with a cup of tea.
