I found some new tools on my sketchbook app so I was playing around with them earlier. Not the most successful scribble but I think I understand it better now? I will try and make something more coherent next time I use it.
New paintings and regular art updates.

I found some new tools on my sketchbook app so I was playing around with them earlier. Not the most successful scribble but I think I understand it better now? I will try and make something more coherent next time I use it.

A few days ago there was a news story about a museum that gave children crayons and paper when they visited. Unfortunately one of the children used a blue crayon to scribble all over an old sculpture. I was drawing a female head and shoulders and it suddenly struck me that it looked a bit like the statue. I added lines, and it seemed even more like the scribbled statue. Strange what your mind takes you.

I do odd doodles in my sketchbook. This wS a drawing of someone falling, then I added stick figures of jumping and handstands and other movements. Why not? It’s a good mental exercise to try and think what the positions of limbs are when the body moves. It’s a bit scruffy, but I’m trying to get the shapes right. I think the falling one was hardest. Positioning of hands and arms from a memory of someone falling is not easy!

Oh what fun to scribble
Into art to dabble
Seeking nothing
Finding fun
Doodled
Lines
Done!

Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was weather.
Not seen a thunderstorm so drew one last night. Scribbled the sky and houses then ripped the paper where I wanted the lightening bolts to be. Glued it down and added highlighter and grey.

To coin a word, squoodling, half way between doodling and scribbling….
Well why not, I love pattern. I’m thinking of turning it into a planet, I want to do more to it. I might draw round a pan lid to get the shape.
