Ferny fronds fly
Feathered leaves
Floating in the sky…
I love skies and I love twisting them so that there appear to be objects on the horizon line or floating in the sky.
The trick is to get a long low horizon and to choose an interesting cloud scape. Or choose one corner of a building and then duplicate and twist it around. Changing the colours in different filters also helps.

I’m sitting here with the cat curled up at my feet and daytime TV playing in the background. I have ear problems, making me feel dizzy.
I went and got tablets so I have been feeling better today. But it means I haven’t been able to get things done that I wanted to. Oh well I’ll be better soon. My partners gone out for a cycle ride before the sun sets. I’m fed up of the reduced hours of daylight and yet we still have 14 or 15 days before the shortest day.
The worst thing is tipping my head side ways… Then everything spins and I feel like the world is dropping away below me. In the meantime I have warm ankles because of the cat! Ah yes and I must get my Christmas cards posted. I’m thinking of putting a tree up this year but leaving it till the last minute I’m also going to tie it to the wall somehow to keep the cats from tipping it over … Hmm, when? not now.

One silly challenge I’ve found on Facebook is typing a phrase than clicking the middle spellchecker option to make a sentence or in this case a random poem.
I’ve decided my phrase will be:
On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love gave to me..
The link to university of Manchester
and us a metallic clunk
The artist from the pottery
The link is getting very
The artist had used a cat
in speaking to encourage
even more involvement
The link to her page
here Ive real use
The artist from Spode
at least I’m going back
memories that people
The link inch
The artist had used to be a circular
The link is broken
The artist from the road.
So thats weird……

I was just thinking of the names I call my cats, not just their proper names but pet names.
Seamus is also Mouse,
He can be Mus it Tus tat.
Moggie, buggle, pud,
Paws, tatty cat.
Seamus can be fluff,
Great big paws.
He is muscle tough,
Also muggle and Mugs.
Gracie can be girl, girly, sweet paws,
Kitty cat, choochie, mooch, grinkle,
Spooks, cheeky tat, shortie,
Garlic, glory, tiny.
Splash, flash, sassy………
I don’t know where half of these come from. Garlic is because the pattern on Gracies face looks a bit like a garlic bulb. Seamus is mainly Mouse, they know their own names and come when called or in Seamus’s case whistled.
I think I probably call them other things which interchange between the two or cover both of them. Like little batty cats, bat’s, puddy puds, puggles, tusses and cusses.
Don’t ask me why.!

Yesterday I was chatting with an artist from Spode. He had done a lovely painting of trees on the macclesfield canal, with light streaming through the leaves. I didn’t take a photo but it looked a bit like this drawing. With blocks of pale green and yellow shining through the vegetation. I can only give a slight idea of what it looked like with this technique. The artist had used a Palette knife to create depth and slanted shadows .
I realise I can’t get an accurate representation. But it gives you an idea of how it looks.

I keep getting a message to try a new editor and “level-up your layout”?
I’m happy with what I’m using, I understand what I’m doing. I had a little look and there are options that bewilder me. I have not accepted it yet. Is anyone else using it? I like the simplicity of WordPress and chose a simple option. I know other people who have struggled to start a page here.
I wish social media platforms would not try and impose change. Perhaps they should put tutorials on line to explain.
Like the use of self checkouts in super markets , we have to face changes in life, but I would like some explanation as to why. We are WordPress customers after all, they should be serving our needs?

Yes I love you
Yes I do,
Yes I married you,
Yes it’s true.
Yes we are happy
Yes I’m sure,
Yes don’t ask why?
Yes I said so….
Yes I’m angry,
Yes I’m annoyed
Yes it’s your fault.
No I don’t care.
No there’s no problem,
No it’s just words
No I’m not lying.
No it’s just playing.
Because it’s a poem!

This is my partners painting of our old cat from about 30 years ago.
It’s oil paint on hardboard. He doesn’t paint but when we had this cat he decided to have a go. He also did a large painting of sunflowers at the same time. I love this , it’s up in our bedroom. When I wake up in the morning I remember her.
To anyone who thinks they can’t paint or draw I would say it doesn’t matter. This is a loving attempt at capturing a sweet cat. It’s the feeling behind this that matters and I love Richard for painting it.
