New paintings and regular art updates.

Yes it’s another experiment. I keep doing them. I’m building up evidence for my college course of my skills. I hope it will be OK. This one is a reversal of colour from the original green and red drawing. It’s also had more pattern added to it….

Playing with pattern again. Red and green complementary colours using glitter glue. I used photodirector again to add texture and also to warp it slightly. Then I used layout to multiply the images. I think it looks a bit like sea urchins?

Red glitter glue poured in a spiral then dragged out with a small piece of wood. I finally put the image through photodirector to change the texture. Yes I know it looks like a splodge of ketchup… I really want to take a photo of the glittery surface, but my phone doesn’t want to capture it!

Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was sour. I decided to draw sour sweets but couldn’t find an image I liked. So I decided to cut up some sparkly ribbon into pieces and then added shadows. Maybe not my best idea….

Another abstract. Just silver glitter glue swirled around, then permanent markers using blues, greens and purple to create a spiralling pattern. Why? I don’t know. Spirals have always appealed to me. Spiral galaxies, spirals in ammonites, spiral cloud formations, spirals in the seed heads of sun flowers.
Of all the shapes I see in the world, these are my favourites.
I put this through photodirector and the subsequent animated clip is on my Instagram account.
