The right size box?

What is a cat in a box?

Cat in a box, I think they are like an upside down tortoise or turtle? Or maybe a hermit crab? Inhabiting just the right sized box…. Finding a box the right size they can pour themselves into. We have a small medium and large cat and each have tried this box. The big cat has to stick his head over the edge, the small one could fit in twice. The middle one is like Goldilocks, it’s just the right size for the box. Wiggle room to twist over for a belly rub. I sometimes tip a bit of catnip in…. Which is most appreciated…. OK… Life is good for our cats….

Day 18, #30daysketchbookchallenge

Day 18, reptile. Well I don’t own any, but I remembered having a tortoise when I was little. I have a vague idea of what the shells look like. I added some gold glitter. I have given it some lettuce to eat.

I probably haven’t made it three dimensional enough, but it was starting to look overworked…

Age

Dry skin, wrinkles, aging, it is the culminative effect of life. Very few animals and plants can live longer than 100 years. But trees, for instance Yews, can live thousands of years, some spread out and as the centre dies the outer skin continues to grow. In the case of things like jellyfish, some of them can revert back to a younger version of themselves (not sure of the science). Then there are more complex creatures such as Tortoises which can live over 100 years, another aged animal can be Parrots, they can outlive their owners!

Age is catching up with me. My arms and hands continue to wrinkle, I feel like I’m old in some areas of my body, and still have some youth in other parts.
