I’m fed up. My leg and foot are still swollen so the nurse is getting me compression stockings! When will my leg get better. Today they changed the dressing again, it’s still weeping slightly. I’m keeping my feet raised but it’s not comfortable. So yes, I’m a bit peevish.
My brain is numb
I want to do things
Stuck inside
Tied down by boredom
And an injured leg
The world turns
And changes
First leaves
Yellow on the Cherry tree
They will wilt and fall.
Bored at home
Will I be out
Before the leaves are all gone?
Swallows will fly
Night returns as days shorten.
Looking out of a window
Limited views
Meanwhile
Keep my legs raised
To reduce the swelling.

Thanks to the NHS I’m getting treatment for my injured leg.
Well after days of a weeping wound in my leg I’ve had it dressed and bandaged by a nurse. Very uncomfortable but I’ve got to keep both legs elevated as much as possible to reduce the swelling. I will have to persist in looking after myself. Wish me luck. I won’t have much excitement over the next few days I guess.
