Bombing children’s playgrounds
Yet more bombings and artillery shells. CCTV showing a colourful playground being blown up. What is this precision bombing Russia boasts about? The world can see. There are satellites looking down. There are photos of the mass graves, proof of the war crimes.
Russians, see what is being done in your name. If I could just prove to one of you that it’s happening. The horrors that simple people, children, the aged and ill, are experiencing, while smug Putin sits and presides over it.
Stop the War
Photos, film and video of the War in Ukraine show huge plumes of black smoke rising over burning and ruined buildings, theatres and peoples homes. Meanwhile Putin continues to lie to the Russian people that no civilians are being targeted. He is using the same tactics he facilitated in Syria with President Assad. He is trying to encircle Kyiv and raise cities like Mariupol to the ground. He is evil and brutal. His propaganda to his country is that it is a ‘ special project’ not all out bloody murder.
Season of wasps
Any drive out towards Chester means a stop off at Snugburys Ice Cream centre. It’s a lovely little group of farm buildings set back off the A51 in Cheshire. We stopped to also check about the Road Closed signs we had seen along the road. We had a couple of delicious ice creams and found out that there was a diversion up ahead that would take us down a tiny narrow lane for a couple of miles
The only fly in the ointment was that when we sat down to eat the ice cream in a lovely sunny patch by some hanging baskets of flowers the wasps arrived. I made a swift retreat round the corner to a shady spot but hubby was fine.
We did take the detour, it was long and very narrow, unsuitable for HGVs but we arrived safely.
