Picassoish pyjamas

Thursdays #bandofsketchers prompt was pyjamas. I’m watching a programme about Picasso and I drew a digital image channelling one of his female portraits. Then I decided to collage it and see if I could make it look like a print for pyjamas. Artrage, incollage and Sketchbook apps used.

Patterning

Symmetrical doodle, could be a vase? I love pattern, I found the flood fill on my sketchbook app, using gradient and radial fills. I can’t work out how to change it from black, grey and white. But I think it sort of works? I was trying for a picassoish line effect although there are no bits of anatomy from animals and humans like his abstracts have.

Picassoish horses

Willow and papier mache horse.

The props for the penkhull mystery plays were made using willow withies tied and glued and then covered in paper and glue and painted white, then volunteers decorated them. I had fun giving a couple of horses a Picasso feel. I don’t remember if it was me or another volunteer that painted this one. There were four horses for an apocalyptic scene! I think we made a monster too but these are the photos from 9 years ago off Facebook memories.
