New paintings and regular art updates.
Saturday is the open Studios day at Acava Spode Studios in Elanora Street, Stoke. On from 10am to 4pm, studio holders open their studios to the public and also hold a small sale to try and sell some of their work in time for Christmas.
This is a chance to buy hand made arts and crafts at a local venue in Stoke. There are all sorts of work represented.
I will be in my studio to show people work in progress and also have some of my older work on sale.

I will be at studio 21 at Spode tomorrow for our annual Open Day. Come and see me painting in the studio or visit the makers market where I will have minature paintings for sale. Then during the day I will try to complete a new painting of a bottle oven (a pottery kiln).
It’s been two years since I’ve been there properly. My fear of Covid, then illness and bereavement have kept me out. But everyone was so nice today. I’ve entered some of my minature paintings for the craft Market. I thought people might use them as Christmas stocking fillers. There’s everything from a tiny giraffe with an abstract background to a small Jupiter with great red storm and a moon passing by. Maybe I will sell a few.
Here are some of my older tiny paintings. I have a bag of about twenty matchbox sized canvases to paint in time for a makers market at Spode on 28 July. I’m still in rehearsals for “one night only” on Friday night and the Penkhull Mystery play on the 13th. Busy busy busy…

Glass cabochons with wire weave surrounds. These will be for sale at the Spring Makers Market at the potbank Hotel, Spode site, Eleanora st, Stoke-on-Trent. I will also be selling small and medium size paintings..
This was my stall at our makers market today. Lots of little pictures and glass necklaces for sale plus cards and prints.
I had a lovely time until I came to put everything back in their boxes… 3 tiny paintings were missing.
I’m peeved but I have to accept I can’t watch the stall all the time. But at least someone will get pleasure out of them so I don’t feel upset, just peeved.!
