Glass cat

It still amazes me that my friend Phil made us this ginger cat, leaded light window above our front door from a design I drew out for him. It’s proper stained glass with lead holding it all together. It’s about 27 years old. We had it done because the half moon of glass that is above the front door was only single glazed and this does help the draught a bit. I’m so glad I had it made. X

Cat sculpture

It’s a bit of a dark photo because it’s so grey at the moment, but this is a twisted wire cat my friend Steph made recently. I treated myself to it as an early Christmas present. I need to have a clear out so I can display it properly. I’m thinking it needs to go on a windowledge. Got to ponder these things. Happy Boxing Day folks X

Ooo! Chocolates

They arrived today, from Leek, in the Staffordshire moorlands, in a big box. Bang, bang, bang on the front door this morning. I dashed downstairs and opened the door. The postman handed me a box marked fragile. What could it be? The writing on the address was very similar to that of a friend, so I assumed it was something from him. But no, there were six Chocolate boxes that I’d ordered for Christmas presents. They are handmade and in beautiful boxes tied up with ribbons. They will now be posted on to family. I might save a small box for us. X
