Abstract, flowers reflected

An experimental painting, acrylic on canvas, using drops of paint spread with a} pallette knife. Each colour was put on one at a time, spread, then the next colour and so on. The paint was reasonably thick so I then swirled the colours with the pallette knife and pulled curved lines through the paint. I’ve called it flowers reflected.

Experiment

Small canvas, about two inches by three. It’s meant to be a window with a rusty frame. Frosty window panes. I’m going to add branches and maybe a bird like a Jay. The texture has been done with a pallette knife. I don’t usually use these but I was given a set at Christmas. I’m waiting for it to dry so I can add more to it.

Sharp

I have done an abstract using shiny acrylic paint and a pallette knife, then using felt pens to add colour. I’ve called it ‘sharp shards’. Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was sharp.

As usual I’m experimenting with materials and techniques. I love colour and I added splashes of it with bright felt pens I bought lasr week. The acrylic paints are little bottles with glittery and opalescent colours.
