Door handles

I’d got half my washing on the line, it’s a warm and breezy day so I thought I’d get it done. The flowers on the garden would add a beautiful floral scent.

Then, slump.. The line snapped. My airer is already full. What to do? I’ve hung tee shirts on the door handles. Towels on my step ladder, and on the towel rail in the bathroom, and since I won’t be going back outside in the heat, I even co-opted my grab handles by the back door. What was going to be a relaxing day turned into a taxing day!

Rattled

Something was rattling loudly in my washing machine! I opened the door and found this! One of my agitators in the drum has broken off…

If you look underneath it you can see where the plastic bits have snapped off. I guess when it spins the weight of the clothes must put a lot of pressure on them. I looked into the empty washer and saw a small metal flange was sticking up so I got my hammer and pressed (not hitting) the metal down in line with the drum. The metal was quite thin so malleable. I’ll have to see if that works, I can’t imagine it will rip anything. The broken agitator is not reattachable as the lugs on it are sheared off……

It’s a ligament

I have pulled a ligament in my foot. I had the ambulance service out. The paramedics were lovely, but they could not take me into A&E. I’ve pulled a ligament so I they won’t xray me or put a plaster cast on. I’ve just got to bear weight on my foot and leg. I’m hobbling around. I’ve got a chair half way to the bathroom to give me a rest. Trouble is I’m drinking plenty of fluids! On painkillers. 😭
