Progress… Just a quick update.
Using various greens, it’s going to be monochromatic, no other colours but white, greens and some paynes grey.
May be finished by the weekend.

Monochrome, Sue Vincent’s #writephoto prompt
When I saw the prompt I knew the place, so we visited two days ago. I’m pretty sure it’s the same place. From the front you can’t see the size of the hall. You walk over the bridge over the moat. Through an archway into the courtyard.
Inside the house is dark and panelled in old oak. There are places where wall paintings are being restored and the old windows are fantastic. Up and down many stairs and spiral staircases you reach the long gallery. Beware the bees nesting at the bottom of the stairs though!
Then outside to the knot garden and main garden. These are hidden round the back.
All in all not Monochrome at all. And if you want to know where it is you will have to wait for Sue’s explanation. I won’t spoil the mystery (and I might not be right!)
Black and white
I only have a couple of drawing apps on my phone because they take up too much memory. This app is quite good, it’s called sketcher. There are a lot of textures you can use, plus pens. I only draw using fingers although I have got a stylus somewhere. The image is not very clear but I used leaf shapes, a chalk pen, a crackle pattern and stars. I’d like to make it more accurate and realistic but it will have to do. I kept to a monochrome so that the texture becomes more important. I guess I could put it through different filters to see how that would affect it.
Meanwhile it’s one am in the morning and there is quite lively talk and shouting going on across the road at the local pub. Once that quietens down I will try and get some sleep.
