Baited breath

He said that, she said the opposite

People scowl

Cats and dogs growl

It’s all “their” fault

They cause guilt

We want more money

For billionaires…. Funny

Why care for others?

Let’s be selfish, like brothers

Cain and Abel?

It comes down to a pottage mess

And everyone feels duress

But we wait with baited breath

In hope there will be no deaths.

An end to conflict

Restore your peace.

Let’s be friends!

Treat others…

Do you have a quote you live your life by or think of often?

… As you would treat yourself .

The world needs balance, fairness, care.

Be considerate of others, it’s something I’ve always thought was a good principle to try and stick to. Before you do something that might affect others, think of the consequences. I think the people in the world could try and be more helpful to each other. For instance 8 men (billionaires) own as much as 3.6 BILLION People. That’s about half the world’s population. Isn’t it about time that things were shared more fairly? I’m not saying everyone could be equal, but perhaps instead of avoiding tax, the richest in society could pay a fair amount.

Population

I was discussing the population explosion fears in the 1970’s with my friend Martha Kennedy here earlier on. She had written a really interesting post about her memories in the 1960’s. I’ll post a link to her post if I can.

But talking about it I remembered doing a collage with ripped up magazine pages. The Earth is at the bottom, a ribbon comes up off the Earth and has a queue or line of people moving up away into space. I can’t remember if they were heading towards the sun or the moon. I think the collage was in landscape mode but my digital canvas is orientated in portrait mode. I’m not sure whether the population had hit 4 or 6 billion… Now it’s over 8 billion. We are like a virus taking over the world….

I tried to post a link to Martha’s blog but it didn’t work sadly.

Eight…

It’s a fact, EIGHT people have as much wealth as half of the world’s population.

That’s    over    3,500,000,000 people!

The current world crisis will cost Billions or Trillions to resolve. Add to that the wars that are going on. The deforestation and damage to the lane through plastic and other pollutions. Also the death of animals through poaching or poisoning that will cause the extinction of them within a few years.

And yet we are not fair, we do not share, it is survival of the fittest ( for that read richest). We have religions, all of which tell us to care for one another, love one another, not to cause harm. But what do we do… Ignore sensible rules and become more selfish…

And yet, in these times, people suddenly seem to have remembered compassion.

Let’s hope it lasts…
