What is your favorite form of physical exercise?

I haven’t been able to do much walking recently. Injury will do that. I used to love running and cycling, but I got a car and that was my biggest mistake. A sedentary job didn’t help either.

I tried to get into walking with a friend, that happened for a year, then I pulled a calf muscle which caused a lot of pain. For months. After that I started again. Only to hurt myself again! I literally feel like I’ve taken one step forward and two back. But I will try again, it’s cheaper than driving and better for the environment. Don’t get a car unless you have to!

  1. Hi Christine I understand about the walking issue. I sold my car back in 2020 because there is a bus stop by my place, also because of the related expenses of owning a car. I thought yes I can go for a walk everyday when I am not going to the shops, unfortunately I live with pain caused by arthritic knees and a severe scoliosis of my spine. When I go to the shops on the bus at least twice a week I deliberately walk the length of the shopping centre and back again. At home I have got a machine that helps me excerise my legs and knees .   2. I love walking. It is the best mono sport that I do as you can do an alternative activity in parallel. for me I enjoy my audible selections while walking or get on my thinking process for what I shall do in the coming week.
