I chuckle when I see this on adverts, ‘up to’ means that the percentage efficiency could be anything from 0% to 100%! But we are fooled by the top percentage. It’s the same sort of trick where a price is £9.99 instead of £10.00, the brain is tricked into thinking it’s a more than the 1 pence you actually save!
So think before you buy and be aware of tricky marketing, please!
Our wonderful Chancellor has today reduced the cost of fuel at the pumps by five pence. That works out at around .33% off the price or one third of one percent! Given that petrol and diesel prices have recently gone up by 50%. This does not seem like an overly generous cut! Given other taxes are going up I wonder what they would like us to think about this? The cost of living and inflation is increasing. Living standards are falling.
I don’t know if it’s me or WordPress but the site keeps closing on me. I’ve just deleted a few more photographs from previous posts and taken my memory down to 98.3% full! I’ve always posted my own pictures here and I used to always post large images.. Big mistake. I can’t afford to upgrade my memory. I guess I will have to keep my pictures restricted in size and keep deleting them!
I just checked my memory percentage on WordPress media and it was up to 96.4% well into the red! I am always up there recently because I like posting my own art here. It means that something has to happen so I have been deleting a few photos. I’m down to 96%. Please accept my apologies if there isn’t a picture on one of my older posts… I have to reduce them. I’m also possibly going to post smaller images xxx
