Old windows in winter

Cold, chilly, breezy

Old windows in winter

The plants cling on

To cold life

Succulents seem impervious

To the chill factor

Unlike us humans

Who shiver

And wither

  1. I’m so glad to meet you and see your art. My ancestors, the Keeler’s, are from Stoke on Trent. From what I have learned there is a Keele university? Is that true? I have always loved and cherished antique China, antique everything really. Your writings and art are so intriguing, it brings me a little closer to my heritage❤️

    1. There is Keele University on the outskirts of Newcastle under Lyme and Staffordshire University in Stoke on Trent, it used to be North Staffs Polytechnic. There was also Burslem School of Art where paintresses like Clarice Cliffe attended and also the artist Arthur Berry who taught at the Polytechnic.
