In our paper…

Spot the problem…??

Hmm…. Apologies for using this image, but it just points out that even people who should know the rules can make mistakes. I wonder why they are not wearing masks, and why they are so close? Are they related? Have they been sharing a ‘bubble’? Did the photographer usher them together to fit them in the photo? This is the leader of our local council, if she does not follow the rules why should her electorate? Or should we ignore her example and follow the rules? I think so!

Rained again tonight.

My friends and I set out late this evening for our weekly walk. We’ve been walking up my steep hill every week for a few weeks, but tonight it was not to be. We’d got about 20 yards when splat! Big drops of rain. Lots of big drops. At least there was no thunder, no lightening. Just rain!

So… We could see bright pink clouds over the brow of the hill so we decided to drive in seperate cars over the hill to the local viewpoint. I was hoping to se a lovely sunset, but no, by the time we stopped the rain was falling fiercely there as well.

Plan C, we went into a local bar for a cool drink. By this time one of my friends had found a plastic bag to put over her head.

As we entered we had our temperature checked. I was still wearing a mask and because the bar was quiet felt reasonably happy removing it.

But it’s baby steps. I’m nervous of mingling with people I don’t know. It’s not something I will do without some trepidation.

Knickers!

This is how I went to get my prescription from the supermarket today. I couldn’t see a mask so stuck my head through a new pair of knickers, gave them a twist then put the other leg hole over. Someone in the shop complemented me on the pattern!

Lots of young to middle aged blokes standing chatting together. The security guard asked them if they lived together, one said yes, the other no! One of them kept sitting down and wiping his forehead, like he had a fever! He went to the cash machine. I told the guard, he said oh the cleaners come out and wipe it over every so often.??
I tried using the touchscreen on the self checkout with my wooly gloves, that didn’t work. So had to touch it. I also tried the card reader, but that didn’t work  so had to tap in my pin number.

Then when I came out there were three blokes chatting round the car next to mine… No social distancing….

Anyway, came home and put knickers and gloves in the washing machine. Washed face and hands. Relatively safe but don’t feel safe.
