Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was fish. I drew a Sixty Seven pound goldfish caught in a lake in the UK this week. It was the largest one ever caught. I think it was a world record weight. It was released back after it was weighed. Quite difficult to draw in felt pen, the colours are a bit off and I should have done a better job of the background.
I love his face. In China the president of our university gave us three — two golden carp and a gray one. They’re delicious. I ate them, but for a couple days they lived in a bucket that hung from the tap in the bathtub with water dripping into the bucket to give them oxygen. I liked to put my hand in the bucket and feel them swim against it. It was hard to give them to the cook…

I don’t know if I could have eaten one. I can be very squeamish xx

The back ground colours are lovely, the giant gold fish pops. Cheers!
