A Marghereta pizza for tea was a bit boring, so I got some leftovers out of the fridge…
1 large sliced mushroom
1/8 of a large onion
A couple of pieces of garlic sausage
2 slices of ham
A 1/4 of a red chilli (deseeded)
A few green olives sliced up
Some leftover hard cheese
Chop it up, add it to the top.
Cook on gas mark 7 for 15 minutes instead of 11 which was the time for the normal pizza so that everything was piping hot.
Added gherkins which were left in a jar to add a bit of sour taste (umami?) to the meal.

I used up the leftover turkey tonight.
Ingredients :
An onion
Half a tin of tomatoes
Half a butternut squash
Chopped leftover turkey
Half a jar of Rogan josh curry sauce.
Method:
I just fried off a large onion, then added half a can of tomatoes. I put half a butternut squash (deseeded and peeled) in the microwave for a few minutes. Then I chopped it into chunks and added it to the pan. Finally I chopped the leftover turkey into it and poured over half a jar of rogan josh curry sauce. I then cooked everything on a low heat for twenty minutes to make sure everything was piping hot. Result. A tasty meal.
Bread pudding made, yum!
It was a bit burnt on top. I used half a stale crusty brown loaf, soaked in water overnight. Then I added a cup of dried mixed fruit, and stirred it in to break up the loaf. Then added two eggs, some milk, three teaspoons of sugar substitute, a few knobs of butter and a teaspoon of cinnamon to make a wet mix. I put it in a greased shallow baking dish and baked it in the oven gas mark six (mid temp not too hot). I cooked it for 1 hour and 20 minutes. It came out a bit burnt on top. The bits of crust were nice and crunchy. I served it hot with cream. You could use custard.
One way to use up stale bread. Thanks Frank’s wife for the original recipe.
