Blanket

My sister knitted a blanket of coloured squares as a Christmas present. I’m impressed with her skill. I think if I did that I would have made a mess out of the sizes or would have struggled to sew the pieces together.

I’m sure it was appreciated, I’m thinking of asking her to make me one too. I’m impressed with her colour choices. Using medium bright tones for a cheerful result. Since making this she has started making one using variations of the colour blue. I think it takes a couple of months to knit.

Sorry if this is boring but I don’t have much to write about.

Boatband at Beehive

Listening to a band!

Today we actually got out to see the Boatband. They are a cajun band based in Stoke-on-Trent. They have played in Glastonbury and many laces around the UK.

Today they were playing outside the Beehive pub on Honeywall, Stoke-on-Trent. They played cheerful cajun and calypso music today. They tried to make a warm atmosphere out of a cold day. The pub landlady came out and gave us blankets to wrap round us! We stayed for a couple of hours with masks on except to drink and socially distanced. But it was great to see people I hadn’t seen for a year! Scary but good.
