Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was Africa. It is such a large continent with such varied flora and fauna and landscapes so I decided to draw a view of it and part of the surrounding countries from space. Drawn with felt pens. I used a plastic tub to draw round for the circle.
This reminds me of a project I did for one of my sustainability units Christine about three years ago. I made a paper mache globe of the world (the last time I did paper mache I was in primary school!) with the help of a YouTube video. I’m not much good at drawing so I cut out a map of the world to glue on the globe. Silly me I forgot the world is not flat! So I just did the best I could! Lynn

That’s really interesting. Yes I know about the globe. I remember seeing old maps that had curved sections. A bit like orange peel so they would fit (ish) onto a globe. X

Sometimes you just have to work with what you have! Congratulations on submitting your final assignment. I know that feeling. Don’t be too hard on your self but proud of what you have managed to achieve.

I know what you mean. Although the study was hard at times, it really got me through some tough times. It also opened my eyes and helped me see the world in a different way. I still miss doing study in a way. I was glad that I did get to attend my graduation ceremony on the other side of the country the month before COVID arrived.!
