Fixing his train.

This is what you see when you take off the top of a toy trail (a rovex triang-hornby, 262 side tank.). Prairie wheel arrangement. My hubby decided to fix it, it’s about 60 years old and hasn’t been working for most of that time, though it is now. After taking the top off by unscrewing the  top of the model, you can see the workings of the engine. After cleaning and oiling the toy train is now in working order. Ignore the batteries in the photo, my hubby thinks you can never have enough of them for use in his torches!

Slightly annoyed

When I got up this morning my husband had run a G gauge railway track across my new counters and cooker and was merrily sending a battery driven train backwards and forwards along it “to see if it works”. That combined with a bike in the bathroom because he had one stolen this week made me feel slightly annoyed. ..

I’m not very annoyed,

Not very angry,

Only slightly annoyed.

I’m not fuming, or hating,

Not loosing my temper,

Just a bit annoyed.

I understand his whims,

His eccentric dreams,

Just slightly annoyed….

Because he doesn’t ask, he assumes,

Because he does what he likes,

I’m slightly annoyed.

So he will move the track and train,

And I will not be annoyed,

Any more….

Well that’s a strange little poem… the kitchen isn’t my territory, we do share it. But I want it to stay nice. Is that so wrong?
