What was the hardest personal goal you’ve set for yourself?

When I was fitter I used to swim. I’m not fast but have stamina so I gradually built up the distance I could swim. My preferred goal was breast stroke.
I found out that a mile was about 40 lengths of the pool so I set a goal to see if I could do it. I slowly built up the numbers, I was limited by the time it was taking me to finish it but after about two or three months I managed it. I have to say I never swam that distance again!

Good job, I’m proud of you!

The first mile is the hardest, then it gets very easy to keep on going once you’ve done that first mile. 🙂

I’m glad I swam in a pool, I would be scared in the sea or a river. X

It’s not so bad once you get used to is. The key is being comfortable in your surroundings. 🙂

Here it’s more the cold climate. You can die in minutes from hypothermia at certain times of the year

Oh wow! I like the cold yet when we go to the mountains in the early spring and winter I can’t get in the water like everyone else does, the cold causes seizures lol. Where you live, are the pool waters just as cold?
