Another post-it note and monoprint collage, drawn over with fine liner ink pen. The subject I found was mythology. The unicorn/ zebra/pegasus is adding all the elements I like together, the merman is holding a cornucopia from which fish are leaping. A bit of fun.

    1. The monoprint is just a board with silver foil stuck on it. You spread ink or in my case black acrylic paint over it thinly. Then you wipe bits of paint off, or scratch through the paint layer, basically make marks. Finally you place a piece of paper on top and using a couple of socks scrunched up so you don’t go through paper surface, you rub the paper and it picks up the paint. If you use another sheet of paper before adding paint you can get lighter prints or ones with different details on them.

      1. Thanks! That’s something new to me. Foil sounds like a good surface to work on. So then you paint and erase the paint and draw in it then lift a print, if I’m getting it. That sounds like a good way to get a lot of different effects! I might they it!
